I am a South African musician with a professional performance career spanning over fifteen years. Besides performing in many of South Africa’s premier entertainment destinations as a solo artist, duo’s, bands and musical theatre productions – ranging in genres from Jazz, Folk, Pop and Rock – I have self-produced and independently released 4 original studio albums with 5 singles from these albums reaching Top 20 chart positions on various FM and online radio stations.
I write in both English and Afrikaans.
Born in 1977 in Groblersdal – a farming community in the rural Mpumalanga province – I grew up on a farm in Marble Hall, attended high school at Affies in Pretoria for three years and eventually matriculated in 1995 at Empangeni High School after my dad (a farmer) moved to Melmoth in rural Kwa Zulu – Natal. After completing high school I studied Jazz at Natal Technicon in Durban.
I live between Kabeljouws River Mouth in the Eastern Cape and Johannesburg, Gauteng.
